Dorinda Keenan Borer has always called West Haven home—and today, she proudly serves as its Mayor. A lifelong resident, Dorinda’s commitment to the city runs deep. Whether it’s rolling up her sleeves during a crisis or collaborating on long-term solutions to strengthen our community, she leads with compassion, integrity, and results.

West Haven Roots, Real-World Experience

Born and raised right here in West Haven, Dorinda is a product of the very community she now leads. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management from Southern Connecticut State University and went on to receive her Master of Business Administration from the University of New Haven.

With a strong foundation in business and a heart for public service, Dorinda has spent her career bridging the gap between people and policy—making government more accessible, responsive, and transparent.
